and then came on Saturday so it was a quick and convenient process, and he was done within half an hour. I made sure the house was tidy as the agent had said we should de-clutter.
The property then went up on Rightmove and PrimeLocation last Wednesday, which immediately generated interest. I even got an email notification from my Rightmove account because the house matched my search criteria. Later on that day Houses.co.uk phoned me to arrange a viewing with a family who were interested in the property, and then half an hour later they were there! Showing them round the house was pretty straightforward – it only took about 15 minutes so why would you pay a high street estate agent to do it? Doing it ourselves means we can answer questions directly.
Last night they made an offer at the asking price, but they haven’t yet put their own property on the market so we’ll have to wait and see. They might even sell their house with Houses.co.uk too!
We had three further viewings on Thursday night, two of them were young couples with children and one was a lady and her elderly mother. They all went well and we’re waiting for feedback. I have been getting quotes from solicitors at the same time, so if we do accept an offer then everything is in place.
It’s been really easy to communicate and arrange viewings with Houses.co.uk. They have been contacting me by email and outside of work hours, which is perfect for me as I work until 6pm every day during the week.
It’s all very exciting at the moment and you couldn’t ask for much more than four viewings and an offer at the asking price within 36 hours!
